Sinus Solutions

Did you know your sinus issues may be able to be cleared up with- OUT antibiotics? 

Chronic sinusitis or a sinus infections is usually caused by allergic irritation or a fungal (NOT bacterial) infection. Many doctors prescribe antibiotics, which many help in the case of a secondary bacterial infection, but usually aren’t a good idea.

Why?  Because they can damage our microbiome – the trillions of good bacteria that live in our bodies that are vital to our health. So how can you get rid of this infection that natural way? 

If a fungal infection is causing your sinusitis, try using a Neti pot with a variety of oils. This will eventually clear your sinus passages. Some great antifungal essential oils are bitter orange, oregano, thyme, tea tree, and lavender. These oils are very potent – a little goes a long way.

Make a Neti pot solution with 1 cup of warm water, ½ teaspoon sea salt, and 4 to 5 drops of one of these essential oils. Be sure to shake well to break down oil into small droplets. You can also try steam inhalation with the same solution, but you don’t need the salt.
