Eye Health

Read Now

Did you know you can maximize your eye health and vision with nutritional strategies?

You may have noticed lately that your eyesight isn’t as sharp as it used to be. It’s no secret that aging takes it’s toll on sight. Over the years the surface of the cornea flattens, admitting less light into the eye. Free radicals generated by sunlight, environmental toxins, nutritional deficiencies, and even normal body functions cause many of these changes.

Fortunately you can take steps today to help protect your vision for tomorrow. Some essential supplements for eye health are beta-carotene found in carrots and Lutein found in blueberries and spinach. Billberry,  known as the vision herb improves night vision and can prevent glaucoma, cataracts and computer-vision fatigue.

Ginkgo Biloba and Omega 3 Fatty acids are also great for improving eye health. Be sure to care for your vision through proper diet, supplements and wearing UV-blocking sunglasses when you’re outside. Also stay clear of smoky environments and be sure to minimize eye strain when reading or working by taking a break every hour or so to give your eyes time to rest.
