Anemia

Read Now

Did you know that anemia is America’s most common blood disorder?

The National Heart, Blood, and Lung Institute states that over 3 million Americans have anemia while millions more are at risk. Anemia occurs from losing too much blood, having less than the normal number of red blood cells in the blood, or when red blood cells don’t have enough hemoglobin, a protein that gives blood it’s red color.

Anemia also deprives the body of oxygen, and without blood-delivered oxygen, the body ceases to function efficiently and can experience irreparable damage to organs and tissues. Inadequate nutrition is the most common cause of anemia. So how to you prevent or cure anemia?

Increase your intake of essential nutrients especially iron, vitamins B6, B12, and folate through diet and supplementation. Interestingly, iron absorption is increased when combined with vitamin C, so let’s not forget about vitamin C’s roll in healthy blood.

Get the nutrients today to keep anemia away.
